Minnick has developed video courses for online training providers Pluralsight, O’Reilly Video, Ed2Go, and Skillshare. His company, WatzThis, writes and maintains courseware that’s used for training software developers. In addition to his technical writing and training, Chris is a novelist, painter, winemaker, swimmer, and musician.

Mindful Toad is a writer, uncle, 5K runner, minimalist, and bookkeeper. A Michigan native, he is moving back to Grand Rapids. He traveled extensively from 2013 to 2017, visiting locations such as Thailand, Spain, and Mexico. He lived in Miami Beach from March 2020 to September 2023 and Greenville, SC, from November 2023 to November 2024. His website is a home for his writing and projects, primarily focusing on meditation, running, and minimalism. He also launched a Substack called Mindful 5K on October 6, 2024.

He works at Tyler Technologies, building applications for customers in the public government technology sector (govtech). His career journey also includes impactful roles at Lockheed Martin and GE Healthcare. He has also done some freelance work and IT support work in the past. Chris is a strong advocate for continual learning and self-improvement, and his professional interests span cloud computing, AWS serverless computing, software design, artificial intelligence, and organizational leadership. He has a Computer Science degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Wayne State University. Chris resides in the Metro Detroit area.

Ben is a computer person who writes code and does stuff on the internet. He grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and received a bachelor’s in computer science from Northern Michigan University. He works professionally as a software developer in Traverse City, Michigan, writing C# for desktop applications. Ben likes building software and community through code and sysadmin tools. His primary hobby project is tilde.team, a non-commercial public access unix system focused on teaching, learning, and building community. Offline, he plays a lot of pinball and also organizes two weekly tournaments. He has a website for his local pinball scene.

Steve Losh is a software developer. He is interested in programming languages, compilers, and type theory. He also enjoys working on tools that make programming easier and more fun.
